Comparison
Dealsourcr alternative: search breadth or analysis depth?
Credit first: Dealsourcr is the closest like-for-like tool to PropDetect in the UK, and it is a serious one. Paste a Rightmove link or look up an address and it runs the deal; it has been collecting its own UK dataset since June 2019; and its strategy coverage is genuinely broad, with dedicated searches and analysers for buy-to-let, HMO, refurbs and BRRR, flips, rent-to-rent, serviced accommodation, R2SA, purchase lease options and a distinctive negative equity engine. We build PropDetect, so read this as a competitor's comparison; the facts about Dealsourcr come from dealsourcr.com and its deal analyser and pricing pages, checked 26 August 2026, and the opinions are labelled as ours.
The short version of the difference: Dealsourcr is strongest as a finding and filtering machine across many strategies, with calculators and data downloads to run the numbers yourself. PropDetect concentrates on what happens after the find: a full automated appraisal of each property, from photo-based refurb costs to a committed verdict.

Dealsourcr facts from dealsourcr.com, dealsourcr.com/tools/deal-analyser and dealsourcr.com/pricing, checked 26 August 2026. Its pricing page lists tier features (calculators, R2SA search, saved deals, deal analysers per strategy, data downloads, AI Deal Analyser at 5/month on Pro and unlimited on Premium) but does not display prices publicly; check their site for current figures.
Where Dealsourcr is the right choice
Pick Dealsourcr when strategy breadth is the point. Its negative equity engine is a search angle nothing else offers as a product feature, and if your model is rent-to-rent, serviced accommodation or lease options, it has dedicated searches and analysers where PropDetect gives those strategies lighter treatment. The market research side, including nightly rates and occupancy trends for SA operators, is real depth for that niche.
It also suits people who want the data rather than the conclusion. Sold prices, rents and spreadsheet downloads mean you can run your own models your own way, and its dataset has been accumulating since 2019. One of its testimonials describes compiling a list of 250 properties in an hour; that is the product's character, high-volume sourcing with tools alongside.
Where PropDetect is the right choice (our view)
Choose PropDetect when what you want per deal is the finished appraisal. The two capabilities we have not found described anywhere on Dealsourcr's pages: refurbishment costed from the actual listing photos, room by room and element by element, and a sold-comparable valuation where the methodology is on the page rather than behind the number. Dealsourcr gives you a refurb calculator to fill in and the comps data to weigh; PropDetect does that work and shows you how it did it.
The delivery model differs too. Dealsourcr's searches run when you run them, and its AI Deal Analyser is metered on the Pro tier at five per month. Deal Radar inverts that: it watches your patch continuously, analyses every match in full, and only the deals that pass your criteria reach your inbox, each with a strong, solid or avoid verdict and an exportable investor pack. If your bottleneck is time spent scanning rather than a shortage of search angles, that inversion is the product.
The honest fit test: if you run R2SA, lease options or negative equity strategies at volume, Dealsourcr covers ground we do not. If your loop is find, appraise, offer on standard BTL, BRRR, HMO and flip deals, PropDetect removes the middle step entirely, and you can prove that on one real listing with your free analyses before paying anyone.
Frequently asked questions
Is PropDetect a replacement for Dealsourcr?
For pasting a Rightmove link and getting the deal analysed, yes, and PropDetect goes further on refurb costing and valuation transparency. For negative equity, R2SA and lease option searching, Dealsourcr has dedicated coverage PropDetect does not; keep it for those strategies.
Do both tools analyse Rightmove listings?
Yes. Dealsourcr takes a Rightmove link or an address lookup; PropDetect takes Rightmove, Zoopla and OnTheMarket links, and its Deal Radar scans Rightmove continuously without you pasting anything.
How does the pricing compare?
Dealsourcr runs two tiers, Pro and Premium, ex VAT with 20% off yearly billing and a 7-day free trial; it does not publish the prices on its public pricing page, so check after signup. PropDetect runs £7.99 to £120 a month across three tiers, and every new account gets 3 free analyses with no card needed. Note Dealsourcr meters its AI Deal Analyser at 5 a month on Pro; PropDetect analyses in full on every run.
Which estimates refurb costs better?
Different methods. Dealsourcr provides a refurb calculator you fill in with your own judgement of the works. PropDetect prices the refurb from the listing photos automatically, room by room, with each element judged keep, refresh or replace against rates calibrated on real builder quotes, and you can edit any line it produces.
